Chocolate Brownie Recipe

  • 150 grams of plain flour
  • 3/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs at room temp
  • 300 grams of caster sugar
  • 100grams brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 113grams of unsalted butter
  • 250grams dark chocolate
  • 25 grams cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp of icing sugar, optional (for dusting)

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180ā„ƒ and grease and line your baking tray
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, salt and baking powder
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, caster sugar, brown sugar, canola oil and vanilla.
  4. Place the butter and chocolate in a small saucepan, over low heat, and stir consistently until melted. Remove from the heat and whisk in the cocoa powder
  5. Add the chocolate mixture to the sugar-egg mixture and whisk until smooth. Add the flour mixture and stir with a spatula until just combined
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 25 minutes
  7. Remove from the pan and cool for 10 minutes
  8. Dust with icing sugar and cut into pieces.
  9. Serve, and enjoy ā˜ŗļø
